The Fibonacci Centre, Fremantle, WORKSHOP: Exploring Oil Paint with Still Life painting
Join me for my first local workshop at the Fibonacci Centre, Fremantle!
Here you will learn key techniques of oil painting in this hands-on workshop, suitable for beginners to intermediates. Over two 3-hour sessions, you’ll complete a still life painting on a 25x30cm canvas, choosing from a curated selection of reference images.
I'll be painting alongside you, demonstrating steps including monochrome underpainting, colour mixing, brush selection and care, and layering oil paint—from the underpainting to the final details. We’ll also cover safe handling, cleaning, and storage of oil paints, and discuss going beyond still-life painting, finding inspiration, and building an art practice.
